Recently, it has been noticed that there have been increasing reports of fraud cases in the purchase and sale of cars in Azerbaijan. There are cases of fraud, especially in cars sold on a leasing basis.
Speaking to Modern.az, transport expert Eldeniz Jafarov explained how to protect yourself from fraud.
He said the best way to protect against fraud is to conduct the buying and selling process in writing.
“That is, there must be a document in hand. These documents must bear the signature of the person who ordered and accepted the order, of the person who delivered the shipment and carried out the purchase and sale. If the person who sells the car is not a physical person, but a legal entity, it would be good to have the signature there. The person who ordered and bought the car should be interested in knowing whether this company exists, but it is also possible that it is bankrupt for certain reasons. This process is not difficult at all, you can find out by submitting a request to the Tax Service,” the expert noted.
