Starting January 1, 2025, the minimum amount of alimony in Azerbaijan may increase from 235 manats to 246 manats.
According to Modern.az, the issue was discussed at the joint meeting of the Milli Majlis labor and social policy committee and the economic policy, industry and entrepreneurship committee held today.
It was reported that in the draft law “On the minimum living wage in the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2025”, the minimum living wage for children is set at 246 manats. It also means the minimum amount of alimony.
Huseyn Huseynov, head of the department at the Ministry of Economy, said at the meeting that the minimum living wage for children in 2028 is expected to be 275 manats.
It should be noted that the minimum amount of alimony was 220 manat in 2023 and 235 manat in 2024.
