Christiane Barsoni Arcidacono, CEO of Hungarian firm BAC Consulting, found herself in the spotlight after her company was linked to pagers used during attacks against Hezbollah in Lebanon and Syria.
These devices are reported to have caused the deaths of 37 people and injured more than 3,000. After the incident, Christiane disappeared from public view and her mother, Beatrix Barsoni Arcidacono, claimed that her daughter had received threats and was being protected by the Hungarian security services in a safe place.
However, the Hungarian security services denied these claims, saying that Christiana is not entitled to protection and has been questioned several times since the investigation began. In an official statement, the service confirmed that the pagers were not located in Hungary and that no Hungarian company was involved in their production or modification.
Cristiana Barsoni Arcidacono herself has not appeared in public since the attack and her company BAC Consulting has been licensed to use her pagers by Taiwanese firm Gold Apollo, according to reports. However, Gold Apollo said the Hungarian company was responsible for producing the devices.
Christiana’s mother insists that her daughter was not involved in the pager plot, claiming that she was merely a middleman and that the devices did not pass through Hungary. However, Christiana’s exact whereabouts and the extent of her involvement remain in doubt as disputes continue over her protection by the Hungarian government.
Previously, Kursor reported that immediately after the “pager jihad” in Lebanon, the owner of the Hungarian company disappeared without a trace.
