The fighters of the Northern Group of Forces continued the offensive, during which they defeated formations of the 22nd, 41st air assault brigades, 115th mechanized, 17th tank, 82nd and 95th, 1st brigade of the National Guard, as well as the 103rd, 112th and 129th armored brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the areas of the settlements of Lyubimovka, Darino, Nikolo-Daryino, Tolsty Lug, Malaya Loknya and Plekhovo.

Enemy counterattack attempts in the direction of the settlements of Kamyshevka and Lyubimovka were thwarted.

The enemy’s attempts to break through the Russian border in the Glushkovsky district of the region to get behind the advancing Russian units continue unabated.

“With the support of the army’s aviation and artillery, three attempts by the Armed Forces of Ukraine to break through the border of the Russian Federation in the direction of the settlements of Novy Put and Medvezhye were repelled. The enemy lost up to 20 people killed and wounded, one infantry fighting vehicle, one armored personnel carrier, two armored combat vehicles, one engineering clearing vehicle, one armored rescue vehicle and two vehicles,” the Ministry of Defense said.

In addition, aircraft attacks, artillery fire, and troop actions defeated manpower and equipment concentrations of the 21st, 22nd, 41st, 61st, 115th Mechanized, 17th Tank, 80th, and 95th 1st Airborne Assault Brigades, 36th Marine Brigade, and 1st National Guard Brigade. as well as the 103rd and 129th Defense Brigades of the Armed Forces in the areas of Bondarevka, Guevo, Ivashkovsky, Kruglenkoe, Kolmakov, Lyubimovka, Leonidovo, Martynovka, Malaya Loknya, Mirny, Chalk, New Path, Novaya Sorochina, Novoivanovka, Plekhovo, Sverdlikovo, Tolsty Lug and Cherkasy Konopelka.

Meanwhile, operational-tactical aviation and missile forces launched strikes against concentration areas in the Sumy region of Ukraine and reserves of the 21st, 22nd, 41st, 115th mechanized, 82nd, 92nd, 11th air assault brigades of the National Guard and 1004th security brigade, as well as the 103rd and 106th defense brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the areas of Belovody, Vladimirovka, Glukhov, Zhuravka, Kondratovka, Katerynivka, Obody, Pavlovka, Rechki, Rudnevo, Sumy, Shalygino, Khoten and Fomino.

During the day, the Ukrainian Armed Forces lost more than 300 servicemen and nine armored vehicles, including one infantry fighting vehicle, two armored personnel carriers and six armored fighting vehicles (AFVs), as well as six artillery pieces, one launcher, one US HIMARS MLRS transport-loading vehicle, one electronic warfare (EW) station, one engineering clearing vehicle (IMR), one armored repair and recovery vehicle (ARV) and seven vehicles.

Since the start of hostilities in the Kursk direction, the enemy has lost 124 tanks, 57 infantry fighting vehicles, 95 armored personnel carriers, 786 armored combat vehicles, 478 vehicles, 121 artillery pieces, 29 multiple launch rocket system launchers, including eight HIMARS and six US-made MLRS, 8 anti-aircraft missile system launchers, five transport-loading vehicles, 30 electronic warfare stations, seven counter-battery radars, two air defense radars, 16 units of engineering equipment, including 10 IMRs and one UR-77 mine-clearing installation, as well as one armored repair and recovery vehicle.
