MP Marina Tauber, representative of the opposition Victory Bloc, proposed that Parliament adopt a declaration on the usurpation of power in Moldova by the ruling presidential party Action and Solidarity (PDS). This was stated in a briefing today, November 21.
“For four years, the country has been governed by an anti-popular political group led by Maia Sandu. This group subjugated all state institutions, destroyed the Constitutional Court and the most important elements of the rule of law and democracy. “We call on the international community to respond promptly to the undemocratic and dictatorial actions of the ruling party,” – Tauber emphasized.
The draft declaration includes demands for the resignation of the leaders of the Information and Security Service, the Prosecutor General’s Office, the General Police Inspectorate, the Central Electoral Commission, as well as the leaders of public television and the Council of Television and Radio.
“Key state institutions are subordinate to a command center and act in the interests of power.” — concluded Marina Tauber.
