This morning a thief robbed a restaurant in the Arganzuela district of Madrid, but the most curious thing about this theft is that only six knives were takenas reported to Europa Press by a spokesperson for the Madrid police headquarters, which is investigating the events.
It was this Thursday at 4:30 a.m., on Epifanio Street, very close to Madrid Río, when a thin young man He grabbed a sewer on the same road and smashed it against a window of the establishment. He entered through that hole and sniffed around the bar and kitchen, opening all the drawers.
The individual was covered with a t-shirt on his head and was carrying a flashlight, according to images released by Telemadrid. Finally, he took the kitchen knives. He didn’t even steal the cash register.of enormous weight, nor other utensils or local products. Then he fled through the same place he had entered.
Neighbors called the police because of the noise caused by the sewers. Several officers went to the scene, but the criminal was no longer there. The owner of the restaurant assures that this is not the first time that he has entered the premises and that the cutlery is taken away.

Joaquinits owner, explains during a telephone conversation to Madrid Total that the thieves broke the glass “with a manhole cover” which had been snatched from the street, apparently, it was their modus operandi usual.
“I think the thieves must have known the place, perhaps they had come as customers, because they knew where to look. They took the money from the collectionthat’s what they always do when they go into other businesses,” he says.
