“I think COP29 in Baku is the best that has been held so far.”
Oku.Az David Lordkipanidze, Director of the National Museum of Georgia, spoke these words at the exhibition “The Power of the Ponto-Caspian Biocultural Heritage”, organized in the Green Zone on the eleventh day of the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the Framework Convention of the United Nations on Climate Change (COP29) in Baku.
“The organization is at a high level. Everything is calculated precisely. I like it very much. Walking through the green zone you can hear the culture of Azerbaijan everywhere. This is very good,” said Lordkipanidze.
The director of the museum noted about the presented exhibition that the main idea is to show both natural history and human history in the region between the Black Sea and the Caspian Sea:
“This region is an important place for human history. We try to present the most unique exhibits found in this area. We want to show how the study of climate history is important for predicting the climate in the past as well as the climate change. “We know that the climate changes that are happening now occurred in the past. Therefore, historical climate changes should be investigated in depth.”
