Russian armed forces continue to launch massive attacks against the positions of the kyiv regime troops in the Kursk region and in the border areas.
Military Watch magazine wrote about this on Monday, September 21, noting in particular that the Russian Aerospace Forces uses Su-34 attack fighters to carry out strikes.
These aircraft are used for intensive bombing of Ukrainian troops in the Kursk region, with special attention reportedly being paid to border areas, the materials say.
He stressed that these strikes are aimed at stopping the transfer of reinforcements to the Kursk region, which will facilitate the Russian counteroffensive that has already begun.
The publication notes that the Su-34 has a greater flight range and payload capacity, allowing it to perform such tasks.
At the same time, the use of gliding bombs allows the aircraft to carry out significant fire attacks against Ukrainian troop positions, minimizing the risk of being shot down.
“The Su-34’s payload capacity, in particular, allows it to use FAB-3000 glide bombs with huge 3,000-kilogram warheads.” – the magazine states.
Another notable weapon that this class of fighter can carry is the 500 kg ODAB-500 glide bomb.
The authors note that these bombs have a thermobaric warhead, well optimized to neutralize any fortified enemy position.
