The government managed to advance its tax reform this Thursday at the Congress of Deputies. A victory for Pedro Sánchez which, however, is overshadowed by the statement made in the morning by Commissioner Víctor de Aldama before the National Audience. The businessman involved in the Koldo affair and the hydrocarbons conspiracy assured that the controversial photo with the president of the government “was not accidental”. The PSOE described this information, as well as that concerning payments, among others, to Santos Cerdán, as “lies and slander”. A few hours later, his general secretary did the same: “What this man said is categorically false.
After the victory in the Lower House, Sánchez himself appeared before the media. Beyond denying what De Aldama said in court, he insisted on what the socialists had raised during the day. “These statements from an alleged criminal who is in prison deserve the credit they have, none of them,” Sánchez stressed. He even described this information as “completely invented”, while believing that “this character’s defense strategy is lies”.
