ICC issues arrest warrants for Netanyahu and Galanta – Borrell makes statement

Josep Borrell, EU High Commissioner for Foreign Policy, said the International Criminal Court (ICC) decision was not politically motivated as it was made by a judicial body. He stressed that this decision must be respected and implemented.

“The tragedy in Gaza must stop,” Borrell said.

Meanwhile, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office expressed harsh criticism of the ICC in The Hague, which issued arrest warrants against the Prime Minister himself and former Defense Minister Yoav Galant. The statement emphasizes that this decision is “anti-Semitic” and “politically motivated.”

During the discussion of the military operation, it was emphasized that its implementation was a response to the attack by the terrorist organization Hamas, which was called “the largest extermination of the Jewish people since the Holocaust.”

Previously, Cursor wrote that Israeli officials harshly condemned the decision of the International Criminal Court in The Hague (ICC), which issued arrest warrants against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Galant, accusing the court of anti-Semitism.

In particular, Transport Minister Miri Regev condemned the actions of the International Criminal Court, calling them “modern anti-Semitism hidden under the guise of justice.”

Furthermore, Cursor has already reported that Knesset Speaker Amir Ohana, in reaction to the ICC’s decision to issue arrest warrants against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Galant, noted that “this decision represents “a dark day for international law.”
