Marius Borg Heiby, son of Norway’s Crown Princess Mette-Marit, was detained for a week on a court order after being charged with two counts of violence.

The court is reported to have partially granted the police’s request regarding the arrest of the accused. During Heybi’s detention, correspondence and visits will be prohibited. The police justified the need to detain the son of the crown prince due to the presence of a second episode of violence in the criminal process, as well as the risk of falsification of existing evidence. Heibi has pleaded not guilty to both crimes.
According to the information, the son of the crown prince is also accused of causing bodily harm, threatening and violating a restraining order against a woman. Currently, law enforcement officials have obtained video materials proving his crimes.
