Malaga was one of the provinces most affected by the passage of DANA, which caused devastation in several areas of Andalusia last week. The heavy rains that occurred in the province of Malaga, where more than 140 liters per square metercaused several floods following the overflowing of rivers such as Benamargosa, Guadalmedina or Guadalhorce.
The effects of DANA also reached the beaches, as happened in Torremolinos. In a video shared on TikTok by Anna Bodgaa Russian woman who lives in this municipality of Malaga, perfectly shows the state in which the city beach was, completely full of reeds, branches and garbage who had arrived there because of heavy rains.
“Why haven’t the beaches been cleaned yet? “Where are the cleaning services?” this TikTok user said in the video.
It’s like this now
A week after the floods, Torremolinos beach is now in better condition thanks to the cleaning work carried out by local authorities in recent days. In certain images provided by the Town Hall, we can see that the shore now it looks better and the accumulation of waste was significantly reduced. Only a few remains of reeds and branches remain which will be removed in the coming days.
The same thing is happening in the municipality, where cleaning services have already removed most of the dirt accumulated by heavy rains.
