Ten people were evacuated as a result of a fire in a multi-storey residential building located on Khudu Mammadov Street in the Khatai district of the city of Baku.
Oku.Az states that the Ministry of Emergency Situations has published information in this regard.
It is noted that after receiving information about the fire, forces from the State Fire Protection Service of the Ministry of the Interior and Communications mobilized in the area.
“Upon assessing the operating conditions at the incident site, it was determined that a fire occurred in an apartment located on the eighth floor of a sixteen-story residential building and that there was a high risk of spread to other apartments.
Thanks to the necessary and urgent measures taken in accordance with the operating conditions, the fire was extinguished in a short time without allowing it to spread.
As a result of the fire, combustible buildings and household items in one room of the four-room apartment with a total area of 173 square meters were burned on an area of 16 square meters.
Most of the apartments and other apartments have been protected against fire,” the report reads.
