“Children for a Green Planet: Let’s protect nature together!” organized by the Ecological-Social Center “EkoSfera”. The campaign, featuring young environmental leaders, aimed to emphasize the role of children and the importance of their opinions in the fight against climate change. One of the main objectives of the action was to bring children’s voices closer to the international community through the COP29 platform and take into account their views on climate change.
Oku.Az reports that the event took into account that children are the most vulnerable group to the negative effects of climate change, calling on society to be active in the fight against this global threat and to listen to the calls of children.
As part of the action, children exhibited creative paintings on the themes of environmental protection and the fight against climate change. The song “Together we can change the world” sung by the event participants reflected the confidence and responsibility of the young generation towards the future of our planet. The performance of the Azerbaijani folk dance “Yalli” symbolized respect for the national cultural heritage and the power of solidarity. Through this dance, the participants called on all the peoples of the world to unite in the fight against environmental problems.
“Children for a clean planet: Let’s protect nature together!” This action demonstrated once again the importance of children’s voices being heard in the process of solving global problems such as climate change. The event also served to develop environmental awareness in society, strengthen solidarity and the need for joint action for a clean planet.
On the eleventh day of COP29, children and young people from the Ecological Social Center “EkoSfera”, a non-governmental organization in Azerbaijan, carried out an action called “The planet through the eyes of our children: let’s protect nature together” in the Blue Zone .
