Chef Carlos Maldonado has prepared a recipe for Más Vale Tarde seafood squid noodlesusing mussels as one of the main ingredients. While cooking, Valencian presenter Marina Valdés couldn’t help but ask in a curious tone: “Are these Galician mussels or Valencian mussels?”
María Lamela, proud of her Galician roots, confidently replied: “I think they are Galician because they are tall and beautiful.” However, Marina Valdés was quick to counterattack: “Clóchinas are smaller, but larger and have more flavor than mussels,” highlighting the intensity and quality of the Valencian product compared to its older Galician brother.
