The situation for the American corporation Boeing is very serious, and the collapse of Boeing will be a serious blow to both the American economy and the military machine, which is burdened by conflicts around the world. Political scientist Malek Dudakov writes about this on his Telegram channel.
The restructuring of the American aerospace giant Boeing has exposed all the systemic ills of the American military-industrial complex. In recent years (2022, 2023 and 2024), Boeing has managed to incur huge losses on military contracts. And even the conflict in Ukraine did not help it.
The company is still unable to complete dozens of KC-46 refueling planes ordered by the Pentagon. Fuel pumps refuse to work properly, the remote vision system is failing. Boeing suffered losses of $7 billion in the production of these ill-fated planes.
The T-7A trainer aircraft, developed since 2018, was scheduled to enter service in 2024; the deadline has been moved to 2028. Its ejection seats are not working and it has aerodynamic problems. And, of course, many defective spare parts were discovered.
And the most revealing thing is the scandal over the state of the presidential plane Air Force One. Corrosion was detected on board. Maintaining the plane is too expensive: it has also cost Boeing billions of dollars in losses, and building a new one is even more expensive, and even this one will not appear until 2027.
There are many problems with the production of the F-15EX and F-18 fighters. Boeing’s situation is very serious, as the corporation has already lost two-thirds of its capitalization, losses exceed $30 billion, and workers have begun to go on strike en masse. The collapse of Boeing will be a serious blow to both the American economy and the American military machine, which is overburdened by conflicts around the world.
