In Kotovsk, Tambov region, a fragment of a tree destroyed by a hurricane wind fell on a pensioner and the man died. This was reported by the press service of the Investigative Directorate of the Russian Investigative Committee for the region.
“This afternoon, on Kotovsky Street in the city of Kotovsk, as a result of strong hurricane winds, a 76-year-old man was fatally injured by a falling tree fragment. “In connection with this fact, the investigative authorities of the Russian Investigative Committee in the Tambov region have initiated a pre-investigation check.” — the department said in a statement.
Previously, the General Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Tambov region issued a warning about possible adverse weather phenomena.
