Linze, the flagship wine of the Selección Lucendo winery, once again demonstrated its exceptional quality by obtaining 95 points in blind tastings carried out each year by Andreas Larssonbest sommelier in the world in 2007. Another wine from the cellar, César Lucendo A., obtained 93 points.
El Linze’s 95 points place it among the best wines in the world and the best Spanish wine of the 2022 vintage, thus consolidating the brand as an undisputed reference for Castile-La Mancha wines. This is not the first time that the winery has received recognition from Larsson, reiterating for the fourth consecutive year as the best in the world for this prestigious sommelier.
Already in 2020, the 2018 vintage was the only Spanish wine to sneak into the top 50 of the best wines in the world, alongside the historic brands of Bordeaux and the Rhône Valley. In his tasting of Linze 2022, Larsson describes a wine with “intense purple color and pure, youthful aroma with floral notes of violet, blackberry, cherry, pepper and raw meat.” On the palate, “its good concentration and its brilliance, its grainy tannins, its sweet flavors of black fruits supported by a fresh acidity, its dense and long finish” stand out. He nevertheless concludes that “he is still young, but he has great potential”.
