Hezbollah claims to be the furthest point in Israel hit by rockets since 2023

Hezbollah said it attacked the Ramat David airbase in northern Israel, the first time it has fired rockets in that direction, Al Jazeera television reported, citing the movement’s statement.

“Hezbollah issued a statement claiming responsibility for the attack on the Ramat David airbase east of Haifa… This is the first time Hezbollah has fired rockets into the area.” – says the channel’s message.

It should be noted that this is the most attacked point since the escalation of the conflict with Israel since October 2023.

Hezbollah said in a statement that this was in response to attacks on several regions and areas of Lebanon and the deaths of civilians.

Communications equipment, including pagers and walkie-talkies, was detonated in different parts of Lebanon on September 17 and 18. According to official figures, 37 people were killed and more than 3,000 injured. The Iranian ambassador to Lebanon was among the victims. Mojtaba AmaniIt is not yet known what caused the simultaneous explosion of thousands of devices. Hezbollah, Lebanese authorities and Iran have blamed Israel for the incident. Israeli authorities have yet to confirm or deny their involvement.
