Russian President Vladimir Putin awarded People’s Artist of Russia, composer and producer Igor Krutoy with the Order of Merit to the Fatherland, degree II. The corresponding decree was published on the official legal information portal.
The text of the document specifies that Krutoy was awarded “for his great contribution to the development of national culture and art and his many years of fruitful activity.”
Igor Krutoy was born on July 29, 1954 in Gayvoron (Kirovograd region, Ukraine). This year he celebrated his 70th birthday. He began his career in the vocal and instrumental ensemble “Singing Cabins” of the Nikolaev Philharmonic. In 1985, the first album, “A World for Lovers”, was released with two songs to the music of Igor Krutoy. The album was released in 1987. Alexandra Serova “Madonna” with music by Krutoy with a total circulation of 2.5 million copies. Since 1989 he began producing and managed the APC company. He collaborated with the company. Valery Syutkin, Zhanna Friske, Alexander Malinin, Tatiana Bulanova, Irina Tonova, Nike Borzov, Sergei Shnurov and other artists. Krutoy was one of the organizers of creative evenings with the participation of Russian pop stars, the competition for young performers “New Wave” and the producer of the musical project “Star Factory – 4”. Krutoy’s songs have been and are performed by dozens of pop artists and musical groups at different times.
