Air conditions in kyiv have worsened due to forest fires, the press service of the kyiv city administration reported.
“There has been an increase in the concentration of suspended particles (dust). The probable cause of the temporary deterioration of air conditions was the fires in the ecosystem of the Kyiv region.” – says the message.
The administration recommended that residents of kyiv close their windows, limit their time outdoors, drink more water and, if possible, use an air purifier.
According to the IQAir global air quality ranking, kyiv currently ranks fifth in the world in terms of air pollution.

RBC Ukraine wrote that the fires near Vyshgorod in the kyiv region began on September 16. Extinguishing the fire is complicated by strong winds and burning peat.
