This afternoon, on Más Vale Tarde, Marina Valdés and Pablo Ojeda had a “discussion”. María Lamela asked chef Carlos Maldonado and the nutritionist what they preferred whether it’s the clochinas, the typical Valencian seafood or the mussels.
Maldonado, the first to respond, tried to keep a neutral tone, comparing the choice to that between beer and wine, saying that “every moment has its movement.” However, Pablo Ojeda was more determined: “I get wet, I’m a mussel,” he said.
This comment did not go unnoticed by Marina Valdés, from Valencia and fervent defender of the clochinas. He replied: “Don’t worry, When you come to Valencia, we will put mussels in the paellabecause Lamela will do it to you, because my father will not do it to you.” His comment left a tension in the air that quickly manifested itself in Ojeda’s response, who replied: “When I leave… A See if you ever invite me because the days go by and nobody invites me.”
To calm the moment, María Lamela intervened, trying to soften the situation: “Ojeda, my mother’s mussels are waiting for you.”
