At least 503 people have died in Chad as a result of heavy rains in the central part of the Sahara.

According to reports, the worst affected province was Tibesti, located in the middle of the Sahara Desert. 83 people died there. Another 70 people were victims of the disaster that hit East Logon.
It should be noted that the floods were caused by heavy rains that began in Chad in mid-July. The natural disaster damaged 318,000 homes in all 23 provinces.
