Two people died and another was seriously injured in a road accident happened this Thursday at Alcalá de los Gazules (Cadiz) in which several vehicles were involved. The accident occurred at the height of the kilometer 59 of the A-381direction Jerez de la Frontera, as reported by the Emergency Coordination Center
At 1:40 p.m., witnesses to the event alerted 112 people. collision between several passenger cars on the Los Barrios highway, near Alcalá de los Gazules. The informants explained that one of the vehicles had fallen from a bridge into a ravine of about 12 meters and had been left hanging from trees.
From the coordination room, the Health Emergency Center 061, the Civil Traffic Guard, the Cadiz Fire Brigade and the Road Maintenance Service were activated.
In addition, the health services of the Regional Government of Andalusia have mobilized a helicopter, an ambulance equipped with medical equipment and an intensive care and emergency unit (DCCU) from Medina Sidonia.
The Civil Guard confirmed that the accident caused two deadwhile a third person was seriously injured and was evacuated by helicopter to a hospital. There is another person unharmed.
Traffic was disrupted in the area, with delays and slowdowns due to the occupation of part of the road by emergency services.
