The Albacete Provincial Firefighters Consortium, the Red Cross, the Horestal firefighters, a Civil Guard helicopter, civil protection groups from Letur, Socovos and Férez, members of the Civil Guard, environmental agents and members of the army participate.
In addition, the government of Castile-La Mancha has mobilized three fire trucks, three checkpoints and three Infocam patrols with a total of 40 people to mitigate the effects of heavy rains.
Stream flow has decreased
Although five people are missing, the mayor of Letur, Sergio Marín, indicated that “It is not excluded that there are more who are not from the city”.
In statements to the media, the governor indicated that stream flow decreased todayimproving the situation compared to this Tuesday. “This allowed us, from early morning, to reactivate all means so that they could access the affected area,” he said.
In this sense, Marín asked his neighbors to be “psychologically prepared” to be able to face the “hard and difficult times” which follow the tragedy suffered. “I want to tell them that we will be with them from the first minute,” he added.
