In a statement from the Government Delegation, it is reported that Francisco Martín Aguirre, on behalf of the Minister of Territorial Policy, Ángel Víctor Torres, sent yesterday, Thursday, the invitation to a new event to commemorate the 46th anniversary of the Constitution which will take place which was held at the Galerie des Collections Royales on December 4 at noon. That is to say the day after the institutional event at the Real Casa de Correos.
“This decision comes after the Government of the Community of Madrid demonstrated its intention to go further in its strategy of confrontation with the Government by preventing the delegate of the Spanish Government in Madrid from speaking out in an act that until last year, “this was organized jointly between the two administrations”, denounces the government delegate.
“That is why the Spanish Government Delegation in Madrid has decided to organize an event in which the spirit of harmony included in the Constitution is reflected.”
Martín accuses the Madrid president of breaking with the tradition of organizing the act of the Constitution jointly with the Government of the Nation: “At a time when precisely, from the institutions, we should focus on sending messages of unity to citizenship”, said the delegate, “the president of the Community of Madrid decided to break with the tradition that we had established in this community according to which the event celebrating the Spanish Constitution was organized jointly between the government delegation and the presidency of the Community of Madrid”.
“This year, he even decided to take a further step, that of silencing the voice of the Spanish government in the event of celebration of the Constitution,” declared the government delegate.
