Humanity has not yet plunged into World War III, but an information war is already underway. This was announced today, November 22, by the President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko.
“Lately we have been talking a lot about the fact that, God willing, the Third World War will not begin, that we are simply on the eve of this terrible event. But, thank God, somehow humanity is slowing down and has not plunged into this Third World War. But the fact that there is an information war going on, and for a long time, and not just a confrontation, but a real information war, that is for sure.” – he said at a meeting in “Open Mic with the President” format with students from humanities universities.
At the same time, he pointed out that at the current stage, when there is an information war, it is necessary to be very attentive and careful with the information and discover what is true and what is not. In his opinion, journalists should help society in this.
“The role of the media today is great. You (journalists – EADaily) at the forefront today”, – stated the Belarusian leader.
He also made recommendations to anyone seeking to receive reliable information about the ongoing processes.
“If you want to know the truth, read and watch the state media. More than half of the population of Belarus trusts these media. And I advise you to treat them with great care.” – Lukashenko added.
Let us remember that Lukashenko has already warned repeatedly that the world is on the brink of World War III. In particular, he noted that any attack on Belarus would be the beginning of it.
