The attacks targeted the southern suburbs of Beirut, a stronghold of the Lebanese Hezbollah with which Israel is at war, on Friday morning, shortly after a call by the Israeli army to evacuate. The Lebanese national information agency also reports bombings in this other region, where Hezbollah is based.
