Iran linked to Hezbollah militant pagers

Ahmed Bakhshaish Ardestani, a representative of the Iranian Majlis’ National Security and Foreign Policy Committee, in an interview with Iran Watch, claimed that Iran was involved in the procurement of pagers for Hezbollah.

He clarified that one of these pagers was in the possession of the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic in Lebanon.

“Ibrahim Raisi also used a pager, and one of the possible scenarios of his death was the pager exploding,” he added.

According to him, there is no definitive answer to the question of whether the pager was the cause of Raisi’s death, but there is a possibility that Israel allegedly had access to information from his device when Raisi was at the border with Azerbaijan.

Earlier, Kursor reported that during a military parade in Tehran, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian demonstrated the “strength” of Iran’s arsenal by unveiling new missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles.

An upgraded ballistic missile and an updated version of the Shahed attack drone were showcased at the event on Saturday, September 21.

Pezeshkian said that Iran has reached such a level of defensive and deterrent capabilities that no state dares to commit aggression against the country. According to him, the unity of Islamic countries will make it possible to “put in its place” Israel, which, he said, commits acts of violence against citizens, including women and children.

Also featured at the parade was the Jihad solid-fuel missile, developed by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps’ aerospace division, which has a range of up to 1,000 kilometers.
