THE The Madrid Provincial Prosecutor’s Office has filed a complaint After Jose Luis Abalos requested last July that a alleged crime of revealing secrets due to the leak of personal data contained in the Koldo case summary, as LaSexta was able to confirm.
The complaint has been filed before the Court of Instruction number 33 of Madrid, where it must be decided whether to open proceedings and begin the investigation into the leaks reported by the former Minister of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda of Spain. Regarding the complaint itself, Ábalos pointed out Ministry of the Interior as the main responsible party of the disclosure of the alleged offence of revealing secrets and that his personal data, such as his communications and personal addresses, had been disclosed.

A legal case that has caused a “investigation for a political story and not to draw responsibilities from the PP complaint” which triggered the first procedures regarding the collection of commissions for the purchase of masks at the height of the pandemic in Spain.
Furthermore, the former socialist stressed that he continues “without being investigated” for these facts. A question which has not however avoided “repeated leaks that represent harm” for himself, but also for “other people who are not part of the public sphere and do not understand anything about it”. It is “to defend these people” that he takes this “initiative”.
In the complaint, Ábalos requests that those responsible for this alleged revelation of secrets be investigated. Questioned by journalists present at the scene, Ábalos denied this information, assuring that “This has nothing to do with this party data leak”In this sense, he reiterates that he asks the public prosecutor “to investigate those who must respect the confidentiality of the investigation and who do not do so.”
Without giving further details, the former minister states that refers to “civil servants”It is therefore concluded that it was the Central Operational Unit of the Civil Guard that was in charge of investigating this case. Then, and in line with his previous words, Ábalos recommended that the PSOE “take note” of this because “It’s a political war and we can’t give up”.
