The president of the Provincial Council of Toledo, Concepción Cedillo, expressed her satisfaction this Sunday to verify “that the support of this institution to the municipalities of the province has notable results in the different localities, improving the services and infrastructures that citizens benefit from, and although a This is the aim of the management that we carry out at the head of the Government. provincial”.
This was stated during his visit to Pantoja (Toledo), where, together with its mayor, Julián Torrejón, he participated in the events that took place on the occasion of the festivities in honor of Santa Bárbara, celebrated these days in this city of Toledo.
Cedillo took the opportunity to see the result of some of the investments made in recent months with the help of the Provincial Council of Toledanoeithersuch as the renovation of the multipurpose municipal building, to which the City Council has allocated more than 125,000 euros, corresponding to the Provincial Cooperation Plan for the years 2023 and 2024.
Provincial aid that has also allowed the Pantoja City Council to undertake the work of installing a roof on the fronton sports field, which was carried out within the framework of the Special Investment Plan of the Provincial Council. “In this way, we will improve the sports infrastructure available to the people of Pantoja,” Cedillo stressed.
Likewise, the president of the Provincial Council of Toledo was interested in the investments that have been made in Pantoja thanks to the aid that the provincial government launched last year to remedy the damage caused by DANA, which in the case of Pantoja have allowed to repair the rainwater collection points and culverts damaged by heavy rains, as well as the replacement of the sewage network of an entire street.
Cedillo recalled that “we are dealing with fundamental actions in the municipalities and that, in many cases, city councils couldn’t do it alone“, stressing that “this is the reason for the existence of the provincial councils, as municipal councils of municipal councils, and we will continue to work on this task, to improve the lives of the citizens of the province every day.”
