The presidents of the employers’ association CEOE and the Association of Family Businesses of Castilla y León, respectively Santiago Aparicio and Isidoro Alanis, have criticized the reduction of the working day to 37.5 hours that the government wants to impose with the exclusive agreement with unions. .
Aparicio accused the government of the nation of having issued an “ultimatum” regarding the reduction of the working day without paying attention to the employers’ proposals and rejected the possibility of sitting down to talk again with the Minister of Labor and the vice-president. . second in the government, Yolanda Díaz, because They no longer have “anything to say”.

For his part, the president of the Family Business of Castilla y León, Isidoro Alanís, highlighted that “we, businessmen, have to endure unique situations in a democracy and this is one of them. “Companies need to be more productive because we are competing with every country in the world and reducing working hours is a big mistake and what’s more, by doing it by decree-law, those who boast of negotiating everything do not do so”, added Alanís in statements collected by Europa Press during the VI Interregional Meeting of Family Businesses.
