For his part, the president of the Family Business of Castilla y León, Isidoro Alanís, highlighted that “we, businessmen, have to endure unique situations in a democracy and this is one of them. The working day cannot be reduced because we cannot be less productive in Spain, “This is not how a society will progress,” he assured.

“Companies need to be more productive because we are competing with every country in the world and reducing working hours is a big mistake and what’s more, by doing it by decree-law, those who boast of negotiating everything do not do so”, added Alanís in statements collected by Europa Press during the VI Interregional Meeting of Family Businesses.
