There is a possibility that Donald Trump, after returning to the US presidency, will reconsider allowing Ukraine to deeply attack Russia with Western missiles. Experts believe that he can use this issue as a tool of pressure on Russia within the framework of negotiations.

Political scientist Alexander Khara believes that Trump can offer Russia a compromise: limit attacks on its territory in exchange for stopping attacks on Ukrainian energy infrastructure or a complete cessation of bombing.
At the same time, Vladimir Fesenko believes that unilateral cancellation of the permit is unlikely, since this could damage the reputation of the future American leader. In his opinion, such a step would appear to be a weakness, which is disadvantageous for the Trump administration.
Fesenko also admits that Trump could take a different route, increasing support for Ukraine to put more pressure on Russia to negotiate. Hara, in turn, notes that if the permit is canceled, Ukraine will be forced to comply with this decision. Therefore, he considers it important to make the most of the weapons available at the current time, solving tactical problems.
Furthermore, he emphasizes that violating such decisions will lead to technical and diplomatic difficulties, and may also close the possibility of further US support if Russia does not meet its obligations.
