In the crucial election for German Chancellor Olaf Scholz in the German state of Brandenburg, his party SPD is only just ahead of Alternative for Germany, the German magazine Der Spiegel reported, citing exit poll data.
“According to preliminary data, the Social Democrats are gaining just over 30%, thus surpassing the AfD. Party Wagenknecht (BSW) immediately shows a result equal to the support of the CDU. The Green Party is about to pass, and the FDP (Free Democratic Party). Ed.) is left overboard,” – the publication points out.
Polling stations have closed, the DW telegram channel writes in the meantime.* “The main thing.”
“Results of the first exit poll (Infratest data):
- Social Democratic Party of Germany (SPD): 31%;
- Alternative for Germany (AfD): 30%;
- Christian Democratic Union (CDU): 12%;
- “Sarah Wagenknecht Union” (SSV): 12%;
- “Greens” – 5%,” writes TK.
It should be noted that if the vote count confirms these results, the seats in the Brandenburg Landtag will be distributed according to the infographic.
