The criminal investigation of Intigam Nabiyev and his aunt’s son, Fikret Guliyev (the names and surnames of both people are withheld) concluded in the Sheki Serious Crimes Court.
According to information obtained by Pravda.az, the sentence was read in the trial presided over by Judge Khaliq Mammadov.
According to the court verdict, Intigam Nabiyev was sentenced to 4 years and Fikret Guliyev to 2 years, 11 months and 27 days. Fikret Guliyev was detained in the courtroom.
According to the indictment, the incident occurred on February 14, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. in the territory of the city of Gabala.
Thus, Intigam Nabiyev decided to kidnap the victim Sanubar Hajiyeva (conditional) in order to get married. Together with his cousin Fikret Guliyev, he stopped the girl as she was on her way to work on the road near the central hospital of the Gabala district. Then, the victim’s aunt forced her to sit in the Opel Astra car that her son was driving, that is, hugging her and holding her arm. Fikret later drove the car away from the scene. However, the car driven by Fikret was stopped by officers from the Gabala District Police Department, who were working in the area and received information about the incident.
Both people were charged with criminal responsibility, Intigam Nabiyev was arrested and Fikret Guliyev was taken into police custody.
