Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin will take part in the Russian Microelectronics Forum, which this year will be dedicated to the development prospects of the Russian microelectronics industry.
The 10th Microelectronics Forum will be held from 23 to 28 September in the Sirius Federal Territory near Sochi.
According to the government press service, Mishustin will speak at the plenary session of the forum on Monday, the topic of which is “The state and development prospects of the Russian microelectronics industry.”
According to the Council of Ministers, the First Deputy Prime Minister will also attend the event. Denis ManturovHead of the Ministry of Industry and Trade Anton AlikhanovHead of the Ministry of Education and Science Valery Falkov and the head of the Ministry of Digital Development Maksut Shadayev.
The Microelectronics Forum has been held annually in Russia since 2015. The organizers are JSC NIIME and JSC NIIMA Progress with the support of the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Education and Science. This forum is the successor of the Crimean conferences on topical issues of electronic technologies, which took place in the 1970s and 1980s in Gurzuf.
Microelectronics is considered one of the foundations of the country’s technological sovereignty. The aim of the forum is to discuss promising directions for the development of the industry with the participation of representatives of the scientific community, government agencies and businesses. The previous forum in 2023 was dedicated to promoting the integration of Russian manufacturers into projects to ensure accelerated digital development.
This year, more than 3,000 specialists from 850 companies and organizations will attend the event. The total exhibition area will be 1.7 thousand square meters, and 145 companies will present their exhibits.
