Judge Juan Merchan decided this Friday to postpone sentencing in the New York criminal trial of President-elect Donald Trump, scheduled for November 26, but gave no indication of a possible new date. The judge also ruled in favor of Trump’s defense, already convicted of 34 crimes for irregular payments to the porn actress. Stormy Danielsfiled a motion to dismiss the case and established a reporting schedule for December.
The first date is December 2, when Trump’s defense must present its case for dismissal, and then it will be the turn of the prosecutorwho rules out rejecting the sentence but is willing to postpone it while Trump is at the helm of the American presidency.
