Donald Trump says he will not run for US president again if he loses in November

Former US president and current Republican candidate in the November elections, Donald Trumpsaid in an interview on Sunday that rules out running again in 2028 elections if he is not elected at the polls this year.

“I don’t think so, that would be all. I don’t see it at all (…) But I think we will succeed (this year),” the tycoon replied on the show Full measureby journalist Sharyl Attkisson, questioned about this possibility.

Furthermore, during the interview, Trump left the door open to the possibility of including the technology businessman in his hypothetical cabinet as president of the United States. Elon Musk or the former independent candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr..

In fact, the Republican candidate suggested that Kennedy Jr., who suspended his presidential bid and endorsed the former president (2017-2021) last month, would be “excellent in terms of health and the environment.”

Additionally, Trump acknowledged the “powerful” public support he receives from Musk and agreed that the billionaire could “help control government waste” because, according to him, “he (Musk) is very good at cutting costs.”

“He feels like this is the most important election we’ve ever had. And as you know, he probably has a few more things to do. But It looks like he’s ready to get involved.”” Trump said.

Trump clarified a few weeks ago that would adopt Musk’s plan for a government commission on efficiency to cut federal spending, adding that X’s CEO had agreed to lead the commission “if he had the time.”
