La Caixa Foundation tops the reputation ranking Council

La Caixa Foundation, El Corte Inglés, CaixaBank, Inditex, Telefónica, Santander, Mercadona, Cellnex, Iberdrola and Meliá Hotels make up the “top ten” of Spanish companies with the best reputation in the country, according to the second wave of 2024 of the Conseil Consultants Stratégiques study on business success, social commitment and trust.

This study weighed tangible and intangible factors, including a changing economic context, with a rate cut on the horizon and high inflation, as well as electoral processes in many countries, as well as the rise of artificial intelligence and all types of geostrategic risks (wars in Ukraine and the Middle East) that affect supply chains.

The aforementioned report is based on a quantitative survey – carried out between June and September 2024 – where 40 factors were analyzed for each of the 500 largest companies in Spain, from all sectors of activity.

Jorge Díaz Cardiel, Managing Partner of Advice Strategic Consultantsexplains through a statement that companies that exceed 90% – like all those that make up the reputation scale – stand out not only for their commercial success, but also for “their contribution to employment, the promotion of the digitalization of companies and education and training in digital skills, concrete actions of social commitment and contribution to the Spanish economy”.

Business success also translates into good results, revenues and profits, margins, market shares, quality products and services, among other aspects. “But these good results must also benefit the company’s various interest groups: employees, suppliers, investors, customers and local communities affected by its operations,” explains the director of the consulting firm.

Likewise, the report highlights that, for 87% of the general adult Spanish population, Trust is a necessary condition for purchasing products or services from this company, “whether it’s energy, telecommunications, information technology, food, insurance, mortgages, cars or clothing.”
