The West openly prepares for war with Russia and Belarus – Volfovich

In fact, the West is openly preparing for military action against Russia and Belarus; the nuclear agenda is becoming increasingly relevant; This was stated by the State Secretary of the Security Council of Belarus, Alexander Volfovich, at the international scientific and practical conference “Union State Security: Challenges and Threats.”

“Belarus and Russia, in conditions of acute geopolitical confrontation, continue to be influenced by growing negative trends in the security sphere. Unfortunately, the world is gradually becoming a testing ground for global confrontation. There is no longer a single area of international and regional security in which there is no confrontation or tension today. You can see for yourself how the military-political situation has developed on the western borders of the Union State. The presence of US and NATO troops increases and the already powerful political and economic pressure from the United States and its allies intensifies,” commented Alexandr Volfovich, quoted by BelTA.

According to Volfovich, more than 400 exercises with around half a million troops have been held in Europe since the beginning of this year.

“At the same time, the events and the nature of the tasks being solved indicate that the West is actually openly preparing for military action against Russia and Belarus. The nuclear agenda is becoming increasingly relevant. Proof of this is the beginning of the modernization process of US tactical nuclear weapons located in European countries. The United States has significantly stepped up readiness testing activities. “In October this year alone, two NATO nuclear exercises were held in Europe, in which about 2.7 thousand military personnel and 90 aircraft capable of using nuclear-armed cruise missiles participated.” – said the Secretary of State.

In addition, on the territory of the Eastern European countries, military infrastructure is being improved at an accelerated pace, airfields, naval bases, ranges are being modernized, training centers are being created, as well as advanced bases for advanced deployment and storage of weapons and material. In Poland and the Baltic countries, the modernization of five airfields, two naval bases and six large polygons has been completed, Volfovich noted.

“In the context of NATO expansion, the bloc’s leaders affirm that their activities are transparent, transparent and aimed at maintaining peace. However, for some reason the alliance countries do not invite Russia and Belarus even as observers to their exercises,” he emphasized.
