Prosecutors seek eight-year prison sentence for man for sexually abusing ‘deeply asleep’ woman

THE Prosecutor’s Office is provisionally requesting a sentence of eight years and eight months in prison against a man he accuses of sexual abuse of a sleeping woman. The trial for these events will take place this Monday, September 23, in the third section of the Provincial Court of Alicante.

The events occurred on September 10, 2021 at the defendant’s home, in Alicante when, according to the public prosecution, the accused “took advantage of the fact that the victim was sleeping soundly in a bed in the living room of the house to place himself on top of her and have sexual intercourse with the woman.”

In another trial also scheduled for this Monday before the Alicante court, they are requesting a prison sentence of two years and nine months for the crime of sexual abuse against a man whom the prosecution accuses of having subjected a minor aged 11 to touching. . at the time of the events, who was found in the street in a town in the region of La Marina Alta.

As reported by the High Court of Justice of the Valencian Community, the events occurred on March 25, 2021 when, according to the public accusation, “the accused approached the girl, who was sitting on the steps of her home and “touched her private parts, until she got up and ran away.”
