A meeting of energy ministers of the BRICS countries will take place on the sidelines of the upcoming Russian Energy Week. This information was confirmed by Russian President Vladimir Putin, RIA Novosti reported today, September 23.
The Russian leader thus wants to contribute to building the BRICS path to strengthening the role of the international association in the global energy market.
“On the sidelines of the forum, a meeting of energy ministers of the BRICS countries will be held, which will be one of the key events of the year of Russia’s presidency of this association. During the negotiations, it will be necessary to agree on the principles of a fair energy transition that are common to our states and to outline ways to strengthen the role of the BRICS in the global energy dialogue.” – Putin confirmed.
