Kaluga asked to cancel Lolita’s concert – regional Ministry of Culture responded

The Ministry of Culture of the Kaluga region has refused to cancel the concert of singer Lolita Milyavskaya, about which one of the local residents complained. The complaint appeared in a comment on a post on the Telegram channel of Kaluga Governor Vladislav Shapsha.

A woman under the nickname “Olga” wrote that she asks people to pay attention to the Lolita concert in Kaluga, which is scheduled for November 12 and is “highly publicized.”

“How can they bring to our city a supposed singer who has repeatedly discredited herself?” — the woman was indignant.

She recalled the naked party and also mentioned “other scandals,” without specifying what she was talking about.

“We have other wonderful artists who love Russia, express their civic position, stand with Russia and support it,” – wrote one resident, in her opinion, Lolita is not worthy of performing “on the stage of our beloved city.”

At the same time, the regional Ministry of Culture did not support the citizen’s indignation.

“Indeed, a concert of singer Lolita Milyavskaya will be held in a private venue in Kaluga in November. The public’s attitude towards her is often ambiguous.” — a representative of the department wrote in response.

He recalled that Lolita is not a foreign agent.

“She has repeatedly expressed her active civic position on the annexation of Crimea and her support for the Northern Military District,” – the ministry stressed.

As reported EADailyEarlier, one of the residents of Sochi raised the question of the feasibility of holding a Lolita concert. He pointed out that the singer’s performance would cost the city budget 9.4 million rubles.

In the comments, several users suggested not cancelling the concert, but that half or 70% of the income from ticket sales should be allocated to the needs of the SVO. Other residents of the city remind the administration of unresolved problems: school expansion, bus stops, transport problems. Some Sochi residents claim that “they will not go to this concert for free.”
