Former UFC two-weight mixed martial arts (MMA) champion Conor McGregor was found guilty in a civil lawsuit in a Dublin court for assaulting a woman in December 2018.

The jury returned a verdict after deliberation that lasted six hours and 10 minutes.
According to the sentence, McGregor must pay 250,000 euros in compensation to the victim.
Plaintiff Nikita Hend alleged that McGregor sexually assaulted her on December 9, 2018. The Irish fighter, 36, for his part, denied the charges and said he would appeal the decision.
