On Friday, November 22, senators approved two financial extensions to apartments and nursing homes in the Social Security budget for 2025, in order to increase the amounts allocated to dependent seniors and people with disabilities.
A first, 200 million euros, was validated for the first time for dependency benefits (APA) and disability benefits (PCH) paid by the departments, in order to “relieve finances” of these communities, explained the Minister of Solidarity, Paul Christophe. Adopted by a large majority of senators, this government amendment arises “concrete” a commitment made last week by Prime Minister Michel Barnier at the annual congress of departments.
