Contract court suspends Isfas and Mugeju tenders

The crisis at Muface continues. The Central Administrative Tribunal for Contractual Resources (tacrc) decided to temporarily suspend calls for tenders for the provision of health care to the Army and Justice mutual societies, Isfas and Mugejurespectively.

The Court made this decision following an appeal by the Professional Medical Union Association (Unipromel) and against damages of “difficult or impossible repair” in the event that the procedures of the contractual procedure continue.

The Court must now examine the appeal presented and the precautionary measure will be lifted when the said appeal is resolved.

Mugeju’s offer has been submitted Asisa, Adeslas and Nueva Mutua Sanitarywhile Asisa and Adeslas went to Isfas.

This suspension comes after the Muface call for tenders was canceled due to the refusal of insurers to participate. The companies argued that the government’s proposed premium increase, up to 17.1%, was not enough to cover their costs and led them to even greater losses.

The Muface consultation

After being deserted, the Government plans to launch a new procedure. To achieve this, Muface began the preparatory steps with a prior market consultation. As shown CSIF this Friday, this will lead to an extension of the procedure until January, or even later.

Regardless, that same week a report from the Ministry of Health was released in which deemed “reasonable” end this Muface benefit because it is not sustainable and civil servants will be transferred to the public health system.
