For the seventh consecutive year, around a hundred people gathered at the City of Arts and Sciences to sew live and celebrate the largest solidarity meeting of people with sewing machines, the “Repunt Party”. This year, the profits obtained, which exceed 7,000 euros, will be donated to the three nursery schools that Casa Caridad owns in Torrent and Valencia.
During the day, which ran from 10am to 7pm at Foothills Walk of the City of Arts and Sciences, participants made bags, toiletry bags, wallets, carpet bags, children’s backpacks and bags to carry lunch and snacks.
“For Casa Caridad, it is a pleasure to have such talented and supportive people who dedicate their time to carrying out such a beautiful activity and with whom they manage to achieve a much greater goal: to continue providing the best education and the best services to the greatest number of 148 boys and girls who attend our early childhood education centers,” he explains. This meeting took place in a festive atmosphere enhanced by live music thanks to the collective of jazz musicians Sedajazz, who collaborated on the event out of solidarity.
Furthermore, in this seventh edition, the “Party of the Response” had the participation of workers from Intrepid Travel and Reale Seguros, two valuable companies of Casa Caridad, who, through corporate volunteering, participated in the event helping to raise funds. In addition, this event was also possible thanks to the collaboration of the City of Arts and Sciences with the transfer of the space, and other companies such as ITD, Sillas Sancho, CL Comunicación y Branding, Món Orxata, Velarte, SAV Agricultores de la Vega de Valencia and Mazel, for their contributions in products.
