German citizens are more likely than others to use the visa-free regime to visit Belarus.

Since the introduction of visa-free travel for EU residents, citizens of Germany and Estonia have been visiting Belarus more frequently, the State Border Committee of Belarus announced today, September 23.

“In two months, about 6,000 citizens of 35 European countries took advantage of the updated visa-free procedure for entering Belarus. The new entry procedure is most popular among tourists from Germany and Estonia – 2,333 and 1,193 people out of the total number of arrivals, respectively.” – says the message

Among the five countries whose citizens are in demand for visa-free travel are also: Italy – 379 tourists, Great Britain – 218 people and France – 220 travelers.

“Visa-free entry remains relevant among our neighbours. Since the beginning of the year, 14,633 foreigners from Latvia, 67,032 from Lithuania and 32,418 from Poland have arrived in our country.” – indicated in the Code of Civil Procedure.

In total, 967,439 European residents have visited Belarus since 15 April 2022.

Let us recall that EU countries have reduced entry opportunities for Belarusians. At the same time, Belarus has begun to open up more and more to EU citizens. Currently, there is a visa-free regime for them to visit the republic.
