The Provincial Delegation of Toledo promotes more than 350 initiation sports schools in the province this school year

The Provincial Delegation of Toledo once again promotes the launch of sports initiation schools in the province this school year, considering that they will be able to exceed 350 schoolsbased on the figures reached during the last call.

Some schools launched thanks to subsidies intended for municipalities with less than 5,000 inhabitants and for children between 5 and 13 years old, which will represent an investment on the part of the provincial institution of around 230,000 euros and around 3,200 children will benefit.

This call allows town halls to take care of the recruitment of instructors responsible for teaching the classes of these schools, which include the sporting modalities of chess, athletics, badminton, basketball, handball, indoor footballrhythmic gymnastics, judo, karate, multisport, paddle tennis, skating, tennis and volleyball.

The initiation sports schools take place between November 1 of this year and May 30, 2025 and include the categories of infants, juveniles, younger and pre-young, the latter always in the multi-sport sports modality, as the first contact of the smaller with the world of sport and the different sporting modalities.

The Foral Delegation of Toledo, through the sports sector led by the deputy Pilar Martín, continues to be committed to promote sport among school-age childrena fundamental tool to promote healthy lifestyle habits among the little ones and contribute to their physical, emotional and social development, in addition to transmitting values ​​as important as effort, surpassing oneself, respect and hard work. team.

This line of subsidies also affects one of the main objectives set by the Provincial Council of Toledo, chaired by Concepción Cedillo, namely the fight against depopulationfor which it is essential to continue to work so that small towns and those in rural areas have the same services as large cities.
