The Ministry of Digital Transformation has already granted 2.3 billion euros in aid from the “Digital Kit”

Red.es, an entity attached to the Ministry of Digital Transformation and Public Service, has awarded 530,000 grants from the “Digital Kit” program for the digitalization of SMEs and the self-employed, which equates to around €2.3 billion of the recovery plan from NextGenerationEU funds.

The Minister of Digital Transformation and Public Service, Óscar López, assured this Saturday during his visit to the Acelera Pyme office in Madrid the latest data available on the execution of the “Digital Kit”. Concretely, in the Community of Madrid, he highlighted that 75,000 SMEs and self-employed workers have benefited from this aid, which demonstrates, in his words, “a successful program”.

The “Digital Kit” program has a budget of 3,067 million euros, i.e. the 2,300 million granted so far They represent around 80% of the total amount committed to the European Uniona little less than a year before the deadline expires.

On the other hand, López indicated that the “Consulting Kit”, endowed with 300 million euros and through which aid is offered to SMEs in between 10 and 250 employees subcontract consulting services intended for their digital transformation, granted 7,400 aid, or a little less than half of what was agreed with Brussels to affect at least 15,000 companies.

The minister also highlighted that these data contribute to Spanish economic growth, emphasizing that “Spain is growing twice as fast as OECD countries.” Likewise, he highlighted that “this week we learned that the average Spanish salary has seen the largest increase in 15 years”, which reflects, according to him, a positive economic moment.
