To these words, the leader of the Popular Party of Porcuna (6,200 inhabitants) added a “hahahaha” with which she mocked the comparison that has left the current democracy in a bad position.
The image, titled “I call this historical memory”, compares data such as the percentage of public debt that existed during the dictatorship and today, youth unemployment, the time it took to pay for housing and the existence of VAT. The data provided is not based on official statistics: VAT did not exist, although there were other taxes; youth unemployment was particularly serious in the post-war period and up until the 1960s; while public debt was low, but largely due to austerity and the lack of investment to provide quality public services to citizens.
